PIR sensing units are used to identify motion from pets/humanoids from about 20 feet away (potentially deals with zombies, not guaranteed). This one has an adjustable hold-up prior to firing (approx 2-4 seconds), adjustable level of sensitivity and we consist of a 1 foot (30 cm) cable with a socket so you can quickly reposition the sensing unit or install it utilizing the two drills on either side
Operates on 5V-16V power (if you need to run it off of 3V you can do that by bypassing the regulator, but that implies doing a bit of soldering). Digital signal output is 3.3 V high/low. Noticing range has to do with 7 meters (120 degree cone).
There are lots of guide offered on Adafruit’s site for these sensing units!
- Discover motion as much as 7 meters away
- Perfect for Raspberry Pi or Arduino Projects
- Easy to use
- Needs soldering of header pins
